日本社会に貢献する熱意に迫る！「人をつくるアルサーガ。」連載第59回は、アルサーガの熊本拠点“フロンティアビジョンスタジオ”（以下、FV）で働く外国籍インターン生、Vaibhav（ヴァイバフ）さんとAshish（アシシ）さんが登場です。

母国のインドにいた頃に日本文化に魅了され、日本の環境で成長し、将来的に日本社会に貢献したいという熱い思いから今回のインターンに挑戦したそうです。

そのお二人に、インターンシップ期間中に得たものや、仕事を通じて感じたアルサーガの魅力、そして今後挑戦したいことについて話を聞きました。

たくさんの選択肢がある中で、FVを選んだ理由はなんですか？

Among so many options,why did you choose our company?

ヴァイバフさん：FVを選んだ理由の一つは、その実績と評判の良さです。

FVはIT業界においての評価が高く、高品質のサービスを提供してきた実績があります。また、採用特設サイトで書かれている「CREDO」にも惹かれた部分があり、FVに対する印象がとてもよかったです。

もう一つの理由は、顧客を非常に重視していることです。

FVはお客様を非常に大事にしていて、優れたカスタマーサポートを提供しているため、お客様と高い信頼関係が構築されています。この点がとても魅力的に感じたので、FVに対する好感度も上がりました。

また、FVが持っている企業としての価値観や社会的責任を積極的に背負う姿勢に敬服したことや、誰もが楽しく仕事できる社風に惹かれたため、FVを選びました。

Work Culture: Work culture of FV looked very attractive to me as everyone enjoys their work here.

アシシさん：私がFVを選んだ理由はいくつかあります。

まず、業界内での評価が高く、高品質のサービスを提供していることに魅力を感じました。実績があり信頼できる会社を探していた私にとって、FVは最適な選択肢だと思います。

そして、FVが持つ価値観に共感できたことも理由の一つです。

FVは社会的に影響を与える行動に積極的に取り組んでいます。この点は、将来的に仕事を通じて社会に貢献したいという私の希望と合致しています。また、チームワークを重視し、風通しの良い会社である点も魅力的に感じました。

Ashish：I chose Frontier Vision for several compelling reasons.

インターン期間中はどんな仕事をしていますか？

What kind of job have you been doing during your internship period？

ヴァイバフさん：インターン中は、React、TypeScript、GraphQL、Tailwind CSSを利用した実装など、フロントエンドとバックエンドの両方の開発を含む、様々な仕事に携わっています。

Vaibhav：During my internship, I am primarily involved in working with a diverse set of technologies, encompassing both frontend and backend development. This includes hands-on experience with technologies like React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS.

アシシさん：インターン期間中はフルスタックエンジニアとして、フロントエンドとバックエンド両方の業務に携わっています。

フロントエンドの業務では、主にReact.jsを使ったユーザーインターフェース（UI）部分の開発を担当しており、特にリッチテキストエディタ*の開発に取り組んでいます。このリッチテキストエディタは、ユーザーに心地良い使用体験を与えるため、直観的なデザインを採用しており、フォントの書式設定や画像の挿入などさまざまなテキスト編集機能をサポートしています。

＊交換・編集可能なクロスプラットフォームの文書フォーマットとして1987年からマイクロソフトにより開発され、仕様の策定が進められたRich Text Format (リッチテキストフォーマット) で読み書きできるエディターのこと。

Ashish：During my internship, I’ve been working on full-stack development, meaning I’ve been involved in both front-end and back-end tasks.

On the front-end side, I’ve been responsible for creating user interfaces, primarily using React.js. One significant task I’ve completed is developing a rich text editor. This involves ensuring that the user experience is smooth, the design is intuitive, and the editor supports various text editing features like font formatting, image insertion, and more.

今回のインターンシップを通じて学んだこと、得たことはありますか？

Please tell us something that you have learned during your internship period.

ヴァイバフさん：今回のインターンシップを通じて、私はたくさんのことを学びました。

まず、技術面では、React、TypeScript、Tailwind CSS、GraphQLなど、さまざまなフロントエンドの技術を学ぶことができました。特に、「mieru」CMSプロジェクトでのフロントエンドの仕事が本当に楽しかったです。

他にもプライベートの面でも、スキルアップできたと思います。自炊や家事を1人でこなせるようになり、時間管理の能力も身につけました。また、このインターンシップのおかげで、初めて社会人としての生活を体験することもできました。

Vaibhav：During my internship I learned a lot of things.

I learned a lot about React, TypeScriptTypescript, TailwindCSS, GraphQLgraphql and many frontend technologies. I like to work on the Frontend of MieruCMS a lot.

Apart from these,I am growing a lot on an individual level. I learned to cook and clean and learned to manage my time during my internship.Also I experienced office culture and work life for the first time.

アシシさん：今回のインターンシップを通じて、私は様々な学びを得られ成長できたと思います。

まず、インターン期間中ではフロントエンドの業務にたくさん携わり、React、JavaScript、TypeScript、Scssなどのフロントエンド技術の知識とスキルが高まりました。

そして、「mieru」CMSプロジェクトでのフロントエンドの作業や、Vanilla JavaScriptを利用してリッチテキストエディタを開発したことはとても充実した体験であり、その体験のおかげで経験を積むことができただけでなく、個人的な能力を向上させることもできました。

もう一つ学びになったことは、ワークライフバランスのためのスケジュール管理です。例えば、仕事の他に競技プログラミング大会に参加するために、Codeforcesというプラットフォームの学習と練習が必要で、仕事とプライベートの時間管理とリソースの配分を考える時間が多かったです。今後は、効率的にスケジュールを立て、優先順位を考慮しながら行動し、仕事とプライベートの両方の目標を達成することを心掛けています。

その他には、職場での人間関係や社会人としてのマナーや、料理や家事などの生活スキルを身につけました。それにより、責任感が育まれただけでなく、自立心と規律を養うこともできました。

まとめると、このインターンシップは技術的な知識や職場での経験だけでなく、個人の成長につながる貴重な体験となりました。この体験により、視野が広がり、将来の仕事とプライベートの両方での追求と挑戦に備えることができたと思います。

Ashish：During my internship period, I had the opportunity to learn and grow in various aspects.

One significant area of learning was expanding my knowledge and skills in frontend technologies such as React, Javascript, Typescript, Scss. Working on the frontend of MieruCMS and creating a full fledged rich text editor in Vanilla JS was particularly fulfilling, allowing me to gain hands-on experience and enhance my proficiency in these technologies.

Moreover, my internship provided me with invaluable corporate experience. I gained insights into office culture, work dynamics, and professional etiquette, which helped me understand how to navigate and thrive in a professional environment.

Learning to effectively manage my time was crucial during this period, as I had to strike a balance between my responsibilities at the company and my personal programming endeavors, such as participating in programming competitions on platforms like Codeforces. This experience taught me the importance of time management, setting priorities, and efficiently allocating my resources to meet both professional and personal goals.

Additionally, my internship allowed me to develop essential life skills. I learned practical tasks like cooking and maintaining cleanliness, which not only enhanced my self-sufficiency but also fostered a sense of responsibility and discipline.

Overall, my internship provided me with a valuable combination of technical knowledge, corporate experience, and personal growth. It was a transformative period that broadened my horizons and prepared me for future challenges in both my professional and personal pursuits.

FVで働いてみてどう思いましたか？良かったことや印象に残った体験などあれば教えてください

Do you like working with us as an intern?Could you share some impressive experiences with us?

ヴァイバフさん：FVでは、謙虚で親切なメンバーやワークライフバランスを上手に取りながら働いているメンバーが多く、彼らとコミュニケーションしながら仕事ができるだけではなく、毎日新しいことを学ぶことができるため、FVで働くことは非常に楽しいです。

インターンシップ期間中には、たくさんの素敵な思い出がありました。

同じプロジェクトに携わっているイさん（サーバーサイドエンジニア）とトシさん（フロントエンドエンジニア）に出会ったことや、会社で開催されるさまざまなイベントに参加したことは、全て良い思い出になりました。初日に食べた焼きそばとたこ焼き、そして20周年記念パーティでみんなで歌ったことは、特に印象に残る思い出です。

Vaibhav：Yes I definitely like working in FV. I enjoy the great work life balance that everyone enjoys in FV. Also, the people here are very humble and kind. I like to interact with everyone here. Moreover, Everyday I learn something new being in FV which I enjoy a lot.

There are a lot of memorable experiences for me in FV. Rather it be working on a project with Yon san and Toshi san or enjoying in company’s parties with everyone. I enjoy a lot here. I enjoyed eating“yakisoba” Yakisona or “takoyaki”Takoyaki on the first day and Karaoke night on the company’s 20th anniversary was most memorable for me.

アシシさん：インターン期間はとても楽しくて、有意義で充実した体験ができたと思います。

初めて参画したプロジェクトはやや難易度が高かったですが、チームワークのおかげで、技術スキルが向上し、改めてチームワークの重要性を実感できたとともに、順調にプロジェクトを進めることもできました。

FV企業文化、ワークライフバランスの大切さなど、様々な学習の機会を提供してくれたことに感謝しています！

Ashish：Yes, I’ve been enjoying my internship immensely. The first project I was assigned was challenging but with the team’s support, I was able to navigate through it, enhancing my technical skills and understanding the value of teamwork.

The company culture, emphasis on work-life balance, and continuous learning opportunities are other aspects I appreciate. Overall, it’s been an enriching and rewarding experience thus far.

反対に苦労したことがあれば聞かせてください

Did you have any difficult time by the way?

ヴァイバフさん：周りに自分と同じ言葉を話せる人がいない環境で生活しているため、寂しさや苦労を感じることは正直あります。しかし、日本で出会った人々はとても優しくて、彼らのおかげで楽しい日々を送ることができたと思います。

しかし、私はまだ日本語を話すことができないので、もし話せるようになれば、周囲とのコミュニケーションもよりスムーズになり、違う体験ができたかもしれませんね。

Vaibhav：Sometimes, It is a little difficult because you are in a different country and no one speaks your tongue. But people I met in Japan were so nice and kind to me and helped me a lot. Whenever I felt alone. But sometimes, I think If I learn japanese it would be much better for me.

アシシさん：今のところは順調に過ごしているため苦労を感じることは特にありません。

少しでも悩んでいる時は、メンターや家族に相談しているので悩みは解消できます。また、FVのメンバーにも思いやりのある人が多いので、困っていることがあるといつでも助けてくれます。

Ashish：As of now I didn’t have much difficulty living in japan. It was very smooth spending time here. Whenever I felt a bit negative then I used to talk to my mentors and parents which gave me positive vibes. As the FV and Willings members are very caring so they took care of every difficulty nicely.

今後挑戦したいことについて教えてください

What kind of things do you want to challenge in the future?

ヴァイバフさん：仕事において、自身のスキルアップのためには、難易度の高い新しいプロジェクトに挑戦したいと考えています。私は創造的な問題解決やイノベーションが求められ、協力が必要なチャレンジを乗り越えることにやりがいを感じます。そのため、専門知識を活かし、関心のある分野で影響力のある成果を創り出すことに挑戦したいです。

一方、個人的には、継続的な成長と発展を目指して努力したいと思っています。自分の「コンフォートゾーン」から抜け出し、スキル向上や進学、資格取得など、自己啓発と成長に役立つ機会を追求する新たな体験にチャレンジし、視野を広げていきたいです。

さらに、社会に貢献しポジティブな影響を与えることも目標としています。ボランティア活動や重要な問題提起、変革を起こしたい組織への貢献やサポートなどを通じて、社会的な影響を持つプロジェクトや取り組みに関与したいと考えています。

これらの目標に取り組むモチベーションは、学び成長し、仕事とプライベートの両方で価値のある成果を生み出したいという意欲にあります。今後は常に上を目指し、目標を達成できるような挑戦をすることが楽しみです！

Vaibhav：In the future, I have a strong desire to challenge myself professionally and personally.

Professionally, I want to take on new and complex projects that push my skills and knowledge to the next level. I thrive on challenges that require creative problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration. I am eager to contribute my expertise and make a meaningful impact in the field I’m passionate about.

Personally, I strive to continuously grow and develop as an individual. I want to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone, embrace new experiences, and broaden my horizons. This could include expanding my skill set, pursuing further education or certifications, and seeking opportunities for personal development and self-improvement.

Furthermore, I am motivated to contribute to society and make a positive difference. I want to be involved in projects or initiatives that have a social impact, whether it’s through volunteering, advocating for important causes, or utilizing my skills to support organizations that strive for positive change.

Ultimately, I am driven by a desire to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution in both my professional and personal life. I look forward to embracing challenges and seizing opportunities that come my way, allowing me to continually evolve and achieve my goals.

アシシさん：私はこれまで、コーディングに強い関心を抱き、スキルアップに努めてきました。将来的には、Web開発とAIの分野で限界を広げ、新たな可能性を見つけることを継続して努力し、社会にポジティブな影響を与えることを目指します。

Ashish：In the future, I aspire to continue pushing the boundaries and exploring new frontiers in the fields of web development and AI. Given my keen interest in coding and the dedication I have put into honing my skills, my vision is to leverage technology to make a positive impact on society.

Through web development, I aim to create user-friendly and innovative digital experiences that enhance people’s lives and streamline processes. I want to contribute to the ever-evolving digital landscape by developing cutting-edge websites and applications that deliver value and solve real-world problems.

Additionally, in the realm of AI, I am fascinated by the potential it holds to revolutionize various industries. My goal is to delve deeper into artificial intelligence, understanding its intricacies, and utilizing it to develop intelligent systems that can automate tasks, provide valuable insights, and improve decision-making processes.

Please give some advice to those who are planning to become an intern at our company in the future!

ヴァイバフさん：日本文化とインド文化は大きく異なっています。食べ物、人々の価値観や信仰、そして文化そのものが違うため、常に新しいことを受け入れるマインドを持つことが重要です。また、日本語を早く身につけ、日本文化をうまく取り入れるには、さまざまな人とコミュニケーションを取ることをおすすめします！

Vaibhav：I would advise only one thing.Be open to accepting new things. Japanese culture is very different from Indian culture. The food they eat, their beliefs, everything is very different. Interact with more and more people. Interaction is the best way to learn Japanese easily and learn about Japanese culture fast.

アシシさん：新しいことを受け入れる姿勢を心がけると良いと思います。日本文化は料理、信仰、服装など、様々な面でインド文化と大きく異なっています。

そのため、周囲の人々と積極的に関わり、コミュニケーションを取ることはとても大事だと思います。これにより学習のプロセスが加速され、日本文化への理解も深まるのでおすすめです！

Ashish：To those who are considering interning at our company in the future, I would offer a valuable piece of advice:

Embrace openness towards accepting new experiences. Japanese culture is distinctively different from Indian culture, encompassing diverse aspects such as cuisine, beliefs, and customs.

By actively engaging and interacting with individuals around you, you can accelerate your learning process and develop a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
