"Spatial Jockey" Spatial JockeyはSJと呼ばれるプレイヤーが、沸き上がるイメージをリアルタイムに共有し、出来事や物語が生産され消費される場を生成するためのプラットフォームです。 私たちはヴァーチャル・リアリティが、どうすればアクチュアルになるか考えました。 そして、それをダンスと音楽の中に見出しました。ダンスと音楽は、常に人類の歴史においてヴァーチャルなモノをアクチュアルにする魔術として使われてきました。 SJは、バーチャル空間を生成し、ヘッドマウントディスプレイを付けたオーディエンスに対し3次元的視覚体験をコントロールするオペレーターであり演奏者です。 バーチャル空間における演奏とは、ダンスホールを要件としない、人間の空間体験欲求を満たすインディヴィジュアルな視覚体験の提供にあります。 体験される空間そのものは物理的制限から解放され、"バーチャルであること”を存分に使ったダイナミックなグルーヴを展開する事が出来ます。 バーチャルであることを肯定的に受け入れ新しいレイヤーでの"繋がり"を見出し、 イメージのハイパーリンクを繋ぎ合わせバーチャルクラブの一片を現代において試行します。Spatial Jockeyにより新たなプレイヤーやシーン、カルチャーが生まれることを我々は願います。 "Spatial Jockey" Imagine a space in which virtual events and stories are produced and consumed. This is Spatial Jockey, a new platform that allows for sharing of experiences and images in realtime. The SJ creates virtual spaces and 3D visual experiences, and beams them to the audience, who wear head-mounted displays. The SJ is simultaneously an operator, and a performer. Performance in the virtual space doesn’t require a dancehall. Instead, it offers an individual visual experience that satisfies the human urge for spatial experience. You, along with the space you experience, are freed from all physical limitations, allowing the deployment of a dynamic groove of virtuality. DJs connect words and sounds, VJs connect these with images. The SJ takes this to a new level, by connecting and mixing spaces and objects for a new layer of experience. We have embraced this new layer of connections that is the “virtual”, and are experimenting with the hyperlinks of images, sounds, and experience that has now become possible.
