こんにちは！カンボジア人ITエンジニアのインタビューの第4弾として、先輩と後輩にあたるインフラチームのメンバー2名をご紹介します。インフラチームは現在６名おり、カンボジア人エンジニア4名と日本人エンジニア２名で構成されています。

Hello! This is the fourth interview with a Cambodian IT engineer. There are currently six infrastructure team members.

【大学での最終学年プレゼンテーション（人事管理システム）】I had presentation (Human Resource Management System) at my university for my final year.

-なぜITエンジニアになりましたか？
私は若い頃からコンピューターが大好きで興味を持っていたので、大学でコンピューターサイエンス専攻を選び、エンジニアになりました。

- Why did you become an engineer? When I was young I really love and interest with computer so I've choosen computer science major when I started at university.

ーITエンジニアになるために何を勉強してきましたか？
私は大学で4年間、コンピュータサイエンスについて勉強しました。大学生の時に国内企業のIT分野で働き始め、同僚から多くのことを学び、インターネットで新しいテクノロジーについてさらに研究しました。 Linuxシステムと自動化ツールにとても興味があり、現在の仕事においてもLinuxシステムと自動化ツールを使用しています。また、大学の4年間の中で、問題解決とか論理的思考、クリティカルシンキングを学び、ITエンジニアにはクレバーな要素が必要で大切なことだと知りました。このスキルは今でも役に立っていると思います。

- What have you been studying to become an IT engineer? I've studied about computer science 4 years at University. During uninversity I also start work in IT field with domestic company. I've learned a lot from colleagues and research more on the Internet about new technologies. I really interested with Linux system and automation tools. Currently I'm working with linux system and automation tools. Also, during my four years at university, I learned problem-solving, logical thinking, and critical thinking, and learned that clever wisdom is necessary and important for IT engineers. I think this skill is still useful.

ーITエンジニアの職業はカンボジアで人気がありますか？また、エンジニアの仕事の良いところは何ですか？
現在、ITエンジニアはカンボジアで人気があります。そして一般的な水準のIT会社で素晴らしい仕事をし、高い利益を得ることができます。

‐ Is the profession of IT engineer popular in Cambodia? And ｗhat are the good things about an IT engineer’s job? 　Currently The IT Engineer is post popular in Cambodia.and get great job working with standard company Get high benefit.

ーあなたは勉強したり、スキルを磨いたりと新しいことに挑戦したりことはありますか？
弊社ではチームとして働く方法について多くを学んでおり、サーバーシステムエンジニアとしてのスキルとパフォーマンスを向上させています。

- Do you have a dynamo work that you want to study, improve your skills, or try new things? Since I have been working for Dynamo Tech Solutions. I learned a lot about how to work as a team. There is many thing that make me improve my skill and performance as server system engineer.

―近い将来、どのような目標がありますか？
将来は情報技術分野のプロジェクトマネージャーになりたいです。

-What goals do you have in the near future? In the future I want tobe a project manager for Information Technoloy field.

ーなぜITエンジニアになったのですか？
私は常にネットワークセキュリティに興味を持っています。また、ITについての十分な知識があると、ネットワークセキュリティのことを理解するのにも大いに役立ちます。そのため、私はITエンジニアになることを選択しました。 以前、他の職業についてはWEBデザイナーやWEBプログラマーなどを考えたこともありましたが、今は弊社で働いておりインフラやシステムに関して引き続き興味を持ち続けています。

‐Why did you become an engineer? I'm always interested in network security and having a good knowledge of IT does help me a lot in understanding thing in network security. That why i choose to become an IT engineer.I used to think about other professions like web designers and web programmers, but now I'm working at our company and I'm still more interested in infrastructure and systems.

ーITエンジニアになるために何を勉強しましたか？
ITエンジニアになるために、Linuxといくつかの基本的なネットワークスキルを学びました。

‐How do you become an IT engineer? I have been studied linux and some basic networking skills in order to become and IT engineer.

ーITエンジニアの職業はカンボジアで人気がありますか？また、ITエンジニアの仕事の良いところは何ですか？
はい、IT専門職はカンボジアで人気があり、カンボジアで多くの企業が求める職業です。
人々を助け、そこから何かを学ぶことができるため、良い仕事だと思います。私は常にこの仕事で新しい問題に取り組んでおり、問題が何であるかを理解し、修正するための解決策を見つけることができるため、とてもやりがいを持っています。ダイナモで働いていいことは、教えてもらえる環境があり、常に自分のスキルアップを図れます。経験やできることが増えていき、それを実感しています。

-Is the profession of IT engineer popular in Cambodia? And what are the good things about an IT engineer's job? Yes, IT profession is popular in Cambodia, and it is a profession that seek by many companies in Cambodia. I think being able to help people and learn something from it is a good things, Because you are always dealing with some problems that is new in this job, and being able to figure out what is the problem and find a solution to fix is really rewarding.

ー現在、弊社ではどのような仕事をしていますか？
私の仕事のほとんどは、サーバーをセットアップし、先輩エンジニアからのタスクをサポートすることです。

-What kind of work do you currently do at Dynamo? Most of my task is to setup Servers and support some tasks from the senior engineer.

ー日本企業で働くことについてどう思いますか？また、カンボジア人の働き方について何か考えはありますか？
日本の会社で働くことは、カンボジアの会社で働くこととは少し違いがあると思います。たとえば、カンボジアのほとんどの企業は、仕事に費やす時間を優先せず結果だけに関心を持っています。 作業のプロセスは重視されずに、作業に多くの時間を費やし中程度の結果の場合は中程度のパフォーマンス、対照的に、作業に費やす時間が少なくても良好な結果が得られる場合は、良好なパフォーマンスとみなされます。私は弊社での実務において、プロセスも成果と考え重視していると思います。

‐What do you think of working at a Japanese company? Also, do you have any idea about the work of you or Cambodians? I think working at a Japanese company does have some minor differences from working at a Cambodian company. For example, most companies in Cambodia don't prioritize the hours you put in the work, they only care about the result. If you put more hours into your work but still produce a medium result, you will get a medium performance, In contrast if you put fewer hours into your work, but still produce a good result, you will get a good performance. Which is difference when you are working in the Japanese company.

ー近い将来どのような目標がありますか？
私の将来の計画は、自国を助け改善することができる何かを作るか、何かの一部になることができるようになることだと思います。

-What goals do you have in the near future? I think my future plan is to be able to make something or be a part of something that can help and improve my country.
