Country Music Hall of Fame Vince Gill to Play Hard Rock Tulsa
Superstar Vince Gill, one of the most popular and most recorded singers of the past 25 years, and his top-notch band are performing at the Joint of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on June 2. Tickets start at 70 dollars and start selling from April 7. Gill has just released his new MCA record album, Down To My Last Bad Habit, a musician he wrote/composed, co-produced, and featured on all 12 songs. Gill accomplished his big achievement with "When I Call Your Name," which won the Country Music Association's Single of the Year award. Since then, he has won 17 more CMA awards, including Song of the Year, becoming the most-winning artist of the category in CMA history. Since 1990, Gill has received 20 Grammy Awards and sold more than 26 million albums. Academy of Country Music has given Gill eight awards, including their prestigious Home Depot Humanitarian Award and Career Achievement Award. Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. He is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry. In August 2012, Gill was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is a member of the four-time Grammy-winning band The Time Jumper. Rounder Records released the band's first studio album in 2012. Gill's high, pure tenor voice and constant sense of harmony have led dozens of artists, from Reba McEntire to Dolly Parton to Barbra Streisand, to embrace him as a duet partner. He is a global guitar selector and extensive composer, and his composition led to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. Gill has been with artists on many other albums, including Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Leanne Limes, Amy Grant, and others. After more than four decades as a professional musician, Gill established himself as one of the most successful guitarists of his generation.
