Penfolds Experience Design
The Penfolds project is another indepent study based off of a client pitch during my time at Gradient Experiential. The client originally approached the agency in talks of an event production opportunity. One of the criteras for the pitch was to incorporate technology into the event. With the Creative Director, we pitched the idea of using LISNR to trigger interactive moments throughout the event. Though we lost the pitch in the end, I took this as an opportunity to explore the viability of using smartphones as a wayfinding tool in a physical space. From developing the user journey to initial prototypes, this was a chance to further understand the requirements and restrictions of using technology in physical spaces. One of the key rationales behind this design was to turn engagement into a game. Rather than keeping guests glued to their phone, I wanted to use the phone as a controller to activate experiences during the event.
