"Lonely Singaporean" Short Film (Abandoned)
This was a short film I attempted to make recently using a Sony Handycam. It was supposed to be about a man's escape from the pressures of reality and how he ultimately struggles to carry on with his life at the end. Due to my lack of practical experience in filmmaking, I wasn't aware of the depth of field and ended up creating a very flat video that's unengaging. And because I had no budget, the camera quality was not up to professional standards, and because I had no crew to work with, I had to perform the acting, producing, shooting and editing all on my own. This was the teaser trailer for the film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHv7x5jmhQ8 I shot this because I really liked the beauty of the sunset at the time, and I felt it was very thematically appropriate for the kind of story I envisioned.
