Perspectives Film Festival
Perspectives Film Festival 2014: Breakthroughs in Cinema explores the timeless theme of displacement – characters adrift from familiar surroundings, held in contempt by others and exiled to the fringes of society. As they struggle for happiness, acceptance or simply survival, they are forced to resist their displacement, or conform and adapt. Lauded by critics, the seven films in this year’s line- up challenge the audience to confront humanity’s uncomfortable realities. Perspectives Film Festival is an annual practicum course run by the faculty of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI). Perspectives is organised by undergraduates from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and supported by the Wee Kim Wee Legacy Fund.
