1975年東京生まれ。95年に渡米。南ミシシッピ大学にて学士と修士号を取得。専攻は国際関係学と経済開発。卒業後、建設会社やコンサルティング会社、経済開発機関等へ勤務し、2012年よりポートランド市開発局にてビジネス・産業開発マネージャー、国際事業開発オフィサー歴任。ポートランド都市圏企業の輸出開発支援と米国内外からポートランドへの投資・企業誘致を主に担当。
