I created a scheduling app -- which is now being adopted by my current employer -- that allows the client to manage multiple teachers' schedules to minimize overtime, calculate monthly teacher payments, keep track of attendance, and provide mobile access to the schedule for teachers.
I'm going to create a collection of my son's favorite things: planets, construction equipment, ice cream, etc., and make a language game out of images and sounds. I plan to work on it as an ongoing project to refine skills.
• Teach and coach 80 students in 25 classes throughout the week, from children to professors, each with unique needs and goals • With my other two colleagues, increased student enrollment by 30% since joining the company by focusing more on individual student's needs
Enterprise app for English conversation schools Built using the MERN stack and React-Big-Calendar, this app accommodates various contract constraints regarding teaching hours, overtime thresholds, and pay rates, as well as manages students and attendance. After authenticating, if the user has administrative privileges, they can add/remove students, view teaching hours per day / per month, print out the monthly payment (broken down by day), and create new classes with a student roster.
• Created a map of Sendai, Miyagi, showing a list of interesting places, which changes depending on the weather • Coded the vanilla JS and Backbone.js front-end • Currently refactoring to improve clarity and speed
This curriculum utilized Python 2 / 3 for the backend, and responsive web design using JS, HTML, CSS, and MVC libraries. API calls, HTTP fundamentals, Git, and Linux server setup were also covered.
