TaskBud is a task management application with social accountability and motivation. Two users pair up to keep track of and encourage one another’s progress. Inspired by the “body-doubling” practice in ADHD communities.

・Developed a back-end server to manage user data stored in MongoDB Atlas
・Created a mobile-first UI with React and TypeScript, implementing an app icon and other Progressive Web
・Utilized Socket.io to allow two-way communication between client and server for real-time friend requests, progress updates, and other state changes

TaskBud (Solo Developer)

Oriori is a fun tool for users to discover popular seasonally- and regionally-limited food and beverage products in Japan. Users can keep track of product availability, tried and enjoyed items, and share items with others.

・Determined project requirements and delegated tasks using Slack and GitHub Projects/Issues
・Implemented Agile project management using weekly iterations within a React & Django framework
・Engineered a CI/CD workflow using Docker and GitHub Actions for deployment at fly.io
・Developed React contexts in TypeScript to handle client-side application state management
・Wrote API calls to Django REST Framework-based API to access PostgreSQL database
・Collaborated with other engineers to develop API logic for user interaction data in Python
・Styled UI components using CSS with animations and rendering effects to increase user engagement
