Drawing on the Past
Drawing on the Past is a story about Teruo Kanoh, an artist and Tokyo Air Raid survivor. Through Kanoh's paintings of the 1941 Tokyo air bombings, we look into the atrocities that continue to the modern day. Military's continue to bomb cities in the middle east, now using drones. Civilians are the ones who suffer, while those who drop the bombs are kept in safety. Through Kanoh's experiences when he was 14, we take a look into what happened in the streets of Tokyo over 70 years ago, and the lessons that still need to be learned all these decades later.
