Many of my tutees struggled with understanding what the question was asking for upon their first reading of it. As such, I focused on helping them answer questions faster (a real hurdle to overcome especially with the time-crunch of examinations) through the following techniques: 1. Read sentence by sentence 2. When doing so, underline/highlight key information, especially numbers 3. Upon completion, identify what topic the question falls under and write it down at the side. 4. Sieve out all key formulas and concepts from your memory (or refer to notes if unable to remember), and start answering! This resulted in my tutees answering questions 2mins faster than their usual timing.
