入社以来ほとんどを開発部門のプログラマとして過ごしました。プログラマとしては丸紅やグループ会社の基幹システム開発を手掛け、独自にビジネスアプリケーション開発フレームワークを開発し、自社の開発基盤構築に貢献していました。

流体力学を学び、風洞実験とかをやっていました。入学する前は「風洞実験！？格好いい！」と無邪気に思っていましたが、やってみるとそんなに面白くなく、バブル崩壊で工学系の就職先も限られていたことからIT系に就職しました。
