Archaeological survey
This project was done in partnership with the University of Toronto and the Canadian Museum of History. Shortly before the beginning of the project, a new potential burial site was located by local residents in the town of Sechelt, of the shíshálh First Nation lands. We were asked to survey this undisturbed site, in close partnership with the shíshálh people. If we were able to find evidence of their people occupying this land for an extended time, we could help their treaty negotiations with the government of Canada.
