Me in a nutshell

As a startup enthusiast, I have been with Carousell (Singapore), Jetbay (Beijing, China), Levo (Bangalore, India), and Wantedly (Tokyo, Japan) working on Marketing, Project Management and Business Development projects.

People say I have the grit and I persevere till I achieve what I set out to do, even if I am being put to overcome insurmountale challenges. I believe in learning by doing. If I fail, I learn from it. If I have to solve a problem, I crack my brain for it.

In Wantedly, I was brought in by our CFO, Yusuke Yoshida-san, to assist our International Team in foreign market expansions. In February 2017, I assisted our Marketing Executive in logistics management for our Launch Event and Digital Marketing. I was also the point of contact due to geographical and language separation between the Singapore and Tokyo team. Thereafter, I started Business Development projects in generating new sales lead and projecting new ones in the effort of market penetration in Singapore. Hong Kong is the second market Wantedly has ventured to. Part of my job scope involves assisting the Hong Kong team as well.

It is of great advantage to be based in Tokyo as a foreigner as many companies, just like Wantedly, are looking towards expanding overseas or engaging more foreigners into using their services. Being proficient in English, and somewhat proficient in Japanese, definitely makes me have an edge over others.

In the past, I managed market entry expansion to Singapore with Jetbay, closely working alongside with department heads to coordinate for our first market. Additionally, I represented Jetbay in Shanghai Mobile World Congress and gave a presentation about Challenges and Opportunities of China Inbound tourism.

In Levo, I was the lead content strategist for the now booming air travel business networking application in India. I coordinated closely with the founders and brainstormed on ideas to engage with the most relevant target groups.

Besides working part-time in Wantedly Inc now, I am building a e-commerce service to bridge trending Japanese products to Singapore consumers.

Projected to graduate March 2018 from Keio University, I am looking for opportunities where I am constantly being put into test to solve problems to better the lives of others.
