高校時にAFSを通じ、アメリカのオハイオ州に一年間交換留学。その際に初めてプログラミングに触れ、プログラミングへの興味を高める。 帰国後は、横浜国立大学情報工学部に進学し、本格的に勉強を始める。 また、大学二年時より、Life is Techのメンターとして活動し、中高生にプログラミングを教える。
