Fraser Tooth

Public API to scrape energy generation data from Japanese energy utilities and calculate historical and (likely) current values of Carbon Intensity, which is a measure of how much CO2 is emitted for every unit of electricity consumed.
Also built a website for non-engineers to explore the data.

API uses Python, Flask, Google Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage
Website uses React, Next.js, Typescript, Vercel

The final product of many months of hard work delivering a programmed lighting installation for the Light Up Reading Festival on the Reading Station forecourt. This project was delivered in conjunction with students from UTC Reading, artist Stuart Melrose, Network Rail, Peter Brett Associates and Reading Borough Council.
