What we do
Thryft is an e-commerce platform for second-hand books, and is one of Singapore's largest online sustainable bookstore. Users can trade in their books for credits that they can in turn spend on the platform in conjunction with cash, or they can donate their books with a portion of the profits going to charity. With a mission for sustainability, Thryft also actively supports local communities and global environmental concerns.
Why we do
At Thryft, we believe in creating a sustainable reading culture by extending the shelf life of each book. Instead of piling up more titles at home, we give second-hand books new lives to be loved and read again. This way, users can obtain value for books they no longer need, and at the same time support local communities and our planet home.
How we do
With our unique trade-in system, users can obtain value for their books. Even when books do not pass our quality checks, we donate them to non-profit organisations or recycle them responsibly with our recycling partner.
When users choose Thryft, they are also supporting meaningful social and environmental causes. Other than donating 10% of profits from Thryft Singapore’s books to charities, Thryft actively work with non-profit organisations through our Books For Charity and Partners For Change programmes.
