What we do

Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT) has established itself as one of the leading theatre companies in Asia. We reach out to over 125,000 people annually through our productions and programmes. SRT’s seasons include original works for a wide audience range, classic plays and bestsellers from leading stages especially from London’s West End and Broadway. Past productions include The Pillowman, Mies Julie, Peter Brook’s Battlefield, Sam Mendes’s The Bridge Project featuring Kevin Spacey in Richard III and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s King Lear featuring Sir Ian McKellen. We have produced outstanding new musicals such as A Twist of Fate, Sing to the Dawn and Dick Lee’s Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress. SRT also stages Asia’s largest Shakespeare in the Park, having brought together over 250,000 people during the nine productions staged in the series. For younger audiences, SRT’s The Little Company (TLC) stages popular titles such as Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and Charlotte’s Web. Over 65,000 children, parents and teachers experience the magic of our TLC productions every year, making us a leader in children’s entertainment in Singapore. Every year, SRT’s Student Education Fund (SRTSEF) enables over 1,500 children to come and watch our TLC productions.

How we do

Our Education Department conducts impactful programmes that encourage holistic learning among students, teachers and the industry. We work with some of the best drama educators and theatre practitioners in Singapore and offer learning platforms through collaborations with partners such as Frantic Assembly and The Royal Shakespeare Company. Current programmes include our Corporate Training with Theatre Series, Holiday Drama Camps for children and our Master Class series. SRT is also committed to industry development. Through SRT’s The Young Company (TYC) and Residency Programme, we provide aspiring theatre actors, directors, designers and playwrights the chance to learn from and work alongside industry veterans from Singapore, the US and the UK.
