Before You Apply: Working at Radish Ride on a Working Holiday
We want people to apply because the opportunity genuinely suits them.
We also want applicants to understand the practical requirements before making plans.
If you are coming to Japan on a working holiday, please read the following carefully.
1. You must have the right to work in Japan
You are responsible for ensuring that your immigration status allows you to undertake the proposed work.
A working-holiday visa does not automatically resolve every employment or immigration requirement.
Please confirm your eligibility with the relevant Japanese immigration authorities if you are unsure.
2. Driving duties require the correct licence
Driving is an important responsibility in our tour operations.
To drive a vehicle on public roads, you must meet all applicable Japanese legal requirements, including holding the appropriate valid driving licence.
Depending on your situation, the acceptable licence arrangements may differ. For example, an eligible International Driving Permit (IDP) may be recognised under the relevant international convention, subject to Japanese rules and validity requirements.
Please do not assume that your home-country licence or working-holiday status is sufficient.
We will need to confirm your eligibility before you undertake any driving duties. If your licence is not valid for the intended activity, we cannot assign you driving work that requires it.
3. You must arrange your own accommodation
Radish Ride does not provide accommodation, arrange accommodation or offer housing-search assistance.
You will need to organise your own place to live and make sure you can commute reliably to our base near Keikyu Misakiguchi Station in Miura, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Please research local rental options, transport and living costs before applying.
4. You must be able to commute to Miura
Our base is located near Keikyu Misakiguchi Station, approximately an hour from Tokyo by train, depending on the departure point and service.
However, commuting from central Tokyo every day may not be practical for everyone.
Think carefully about where you intend to live and how you will get to work, particularly for early starts or shifts that finish later in the day.
5. Tourism work can depend on weather and bookings
Our tours take place outdoors. Weather conditions, bookings and operational requirements can affect the day's schedule.
You should be comfortable working in an outdoor environment and understand that daily tasks may vary.
Specific working hours, pay, employment arrangements and availability should be confirmed as part of the recruitment process.
6. This is a job, not a relocation package
We welcome enquiries from eligible international applicants, but we do not provide visa sponsorship as part of this opportunity unless explicitly agreed separately.
We also do not provide flights, accommodation or relocation assistance.
Please make your own arrangements and confirm your eligibility before committing to travel or housing costs.
Still interested?
If you understand these conditions and are excited about working with international guests in a beautiful part of Japan, we'd be happy to hear from you.
Please introduce yourself, tell us when you are available to work in Japan, describe your relevant experience and explain your current driving-licence situation.
We would rather have an honest conversation at the beginning than discover a practical mismatch later.
