自律的な人生をしています。 I didn’t have much confidence before, since I have always been in a competitive environment. Honestly, lack of confidence can induce much more pain. This became even worse after I came to Japan and really started my life here. Even though I had overseas experience before in Los Angeles, Japan is totally different from US only because of the language. I need to learn almost everything from scratch including Japanese language, school lessons, my AI research, and I also have to do part-time job to make a living by myself. I am the type of person who wants to win his or her goals no matter what. And I am very confident in my ability of adjusting to a new environment, and I did it. First I overcame the difficulty of doing my research which is about deep reinforcement learning. I used my patience to learn the math, python, Tensorflow, GPU, backend related knowledge, unity, statistical and data analysis related skills. Then I got an internship opportunity in Linkbal, a Japanese IT company. This is a typical Japanese company with many strict regulations, and I really appreciated that the company has taught me a lot, like being rigorous and careful in work; communicating well, no misunderstandings being guaranteed; always thinking about your responsibility in work no matter big or small. After the last internship in Linkbal was finished, I was lucky enough to enter Lightblue Technology working as a part-time machine learning engineer . Their work is challenging because it is a totally new topic to me. My own research in the lab is about distributed system, while my work in Lightblue is doing image procession related topic. Within 2 months after I joined, our team finished a SHIMIZU corporation’s project successfully. I have overcome many weaknesses after came to Japan, the reason why I can do this is nothing but self-discipline, so I have confidence in any new-coming challenges.
