Michelle is passionate about everything she loves and dreams, from design, photography, art, music, fashion and anything that's beautiful to her. She constantly keeps her design passion alive and gets inspired by everything that's alien to her. There is a saying "Curiosity killed the cat " but Michelle agrees more with the rejoinder "But satisfaction brought it back."
Getting out of her comfort zone is a way of getting new creativity. She always enjoys being in different places of the world with eyes wide open, unlocking the creative inspiration. Michelle believes that "In order to think of the box, you gotta come out from the box." She is open to any oversea opportunities that could bring her to another level of the creative world.
Michelle is multilingual - English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and Korean (limited working proficiency). At the age of 17, she persuaded her dream alone in Singapore and graduated from Digital Media Design course in Nanyang Polytechnic. With her 11 years experience, she never stops taking challenges and improving her skills in diverse areas of design including - interactive design, web, graphic, UX/UI and brand design. As Michelle believes that getting out of her comfort zone makes more room for creativity, she relocated herself to Seoul in 2012 and joined a creative design agency Darez as Senior UX Designer. In 2016, she managed a lifestyle apparel label, DGREE and skincare brand NUMERO as Art Director / Brand Designer. Making digital contents like brand images and videos to promote online as well as social media platform. At the same time, she also handled web projects as Art Director / lead designer.
In 2018, Michelle took another big leap to Tokyo. At present, she is working as Art Director in a creative design agency in Tokyo. Within short period, she worked for various project including clients like Chanel, Shu Uemura, Vogue, Elle, 25ans, Isetan and etc. She is always open for any good opportunities from Tokyo.
