Super proud of a friend who solidifies the meaning of behind the scenes social change - Mae Hoe.
Her recent work contributed to these:

What National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre tries to do, what the changemakers do, often go under the radar, because more often than not, we celebrate the sexy ones and the momentous, the significant, the "big 4" equivalent. And unfortunately, those that get celebrated, scratch each others back and celebrate each other (the fact is they do make a whole lot of impact indeed but the sense of the aforementioned still presents itself).
BUT, the reality is a lot of work go under the radar, a lot of work happens on a day to day basis, on a level that does not get PR, corporate nor Company of Good attention.
Let's hope that one day, regardless of impact, community and changemaker profile, every single act will be celebrated.
