I have been drawn to Japan for a long time not just professionally but culturally. The lifestyle and the attention to detail in everyday life including the way things are built to last resonate with how I think about engineering too.
Japan's tech startup scene also genuinely excites me. There is a lot happening right now. Companies like Mercari and many smaller startups are building interesting products and expanding globally. As a backend engineer focused on scalable systems and APIs I see real opportunities to contribute and grow in that environment.
I am starting to learn Japanese and am committed to improving over time. I am not just looking for a job in Japan. I want to integrate into a team properly and grow alongside the people I work with.
