Canadian Immigration
Canada is still continuing to process new immigrants and welcoming them in the country. This is mainly done by Canadian flagship system managing economic class immigration applications known as Express Entry.
Express Entry draw happens once every two weeks since March.
The initiation of permanent residency is done through ITAs or Invitations to Apply. Canada issued nearly 70,000 of such ITAs in 2020 so far compared with 56,000 last year at the same time of the year.
IRCC expects that because of said factors Canada PR figures will surge when the pandemic is over.
