A Walk Through My Vegetable Garden
I haven’t done a lot of vegetable garden walk-throughs this year because we have has such a wet year I just couldn’t walk in the garden without putting boards across the garden first. Add to that the fact that most everything is stunted due to flooding and soggy roots.
However, it’s gotten a bit drier in the last week or two and things are picking up. Even have a couple of tomatoes ripening as I’m writing. My hot pepper plants, even the short stubby ones are plant identifier by picture that will make us sweat in the middle of winter.
Loving Our Pole Beans
My pole beans didn’t grow the first time around. I had planted three pole bean seeds at each pole I setup on my newest raised bed but only one came up and it didn’t last more than a couple of days. Just too much rain.
I had planted all of those beans but had another package of different pole beans. This time I just planted one at each pole. They came up and now have reached the top of the poles. They have gorgeous little reddish blossoms and get lots of bees like this guy.
