Driven by curiosity and a passion for exploration
My adventurous spirit has taken me from Hawaii to Brazil, and finally to Japan in 2019, where I discovered my true calling in tech. When COVID hit and I realized my Food Engineering background wasn't enough to fuel my growth, I took a leap of faith and enrolled at Le Wagon coding bootcamp—and fell in love with programming.
Since graduating in late 2019, I've been working at MetricFire, where I've evolved from learning web development fundamentals to mastering DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering. Working with a globally distributed team across multiple time zones has taught me the art of asynchronous collaboration, and I thrive on the constant learning that comes from contributing alongside brilliant colleagues worldwide.
Technical Expertise:
- Programming: Python, JavaScript, Ruby
- Frameworks: Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code
- Cloud: AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, IoT Core, CloudWatch), Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, GCP
What excites me most isn't just adapting to new challenges—it's thinking beyond them. I'm constantly exploring emerging technologies and pushing myself to grow. My journey from food engineering to full-stack development with DevOps expertise reflects my belief that the best solutions come from combining curiosity with continuous learning.
GitHub
Here are some of my projects on GitHub.
- Convertly (an app in Flask that converts PDF into TXT)
- Odyssey(an app in Flask to test API calls and integrate SRE and DevOps monitoring tools like Grafana)
- Metromotivator ⭐️(A music app with some users already. It is a Duolingo for musicians to study/practice music)
Check out some of my work on GitHub, including Convertly, Odyssey, and my latest project Metromotivator ⭐️. I'm particularly proud of Metromotivator as it's currently in its marketing stage—I successfully delivered all the features the app owner envisioned.
Feel free to reach out; I'm always down for a coffee in the Tokyo area or a chat over Zoom.
