ビジネスホテルでもない、シティホテルでもない、「ツーリストホテル」をつくります We are making a new hotel genre in Japan 例えば、第一号である「ザ・ツーリストホテル葛西」は取り壊し予定であった既存のビジネスホテルをツーリスト向けにリノベーションしたホテルです。 The Tourist Hotel Kasai used to be a business hotel that was going to be demolished. We renovated it into a hotel for tourists. メインターゲットであるディズニーリゾートに来る、友達や家族ずれは日中たくさん遊んで、ホテルは帰って寝るだけ。 Of course their main objective is to enjoy Disney Land and other sightseeing, so they will spend most of their day outside and will only return to their hotel to sleep. 部屋がバラバラになってしまったり、清潔感がなかったり、あまりにもセンスがないホテルは嫌ですが、節約をしたい部分であるはず。 They will have needs such as cleanliness, wanting to stay together, and a certain level of design, but with those boxes checked, they would rather spend more on their main objective. そんなツーリストは、、、 何人で泊まりたいのか？　How large are the groups? 何時にチェックインするだろうか？　What time do they check in? どんなアメニティを必要とするだろうか？　What kind of amenities do they need? 朝食はどうするだろうか？　What will they do about breakfast? このような問いに向き合い、ホテルの「常識」と思われることも、一から考え直して、自分たちの手で新しい「Tourist Hotel」をつくりました。 Revisiting these kind of questions, we put aside hotel norms, we made a new “Tourist Hotel” from scratch. オープン後も企画に関わったメンバーもフロントにも立ち、実際にお客様の顔を見ながら、どんどんバージョンアップしています。 After opening, all members involved in planning also spent time working at the front desk, and used this experience to continue improving the hotel.

近年、日本だけでなく外国人の旅行者の増加が話題となり、2人以上が宿泊できる「ダブル」「ツイン」タイプの客室は増えましたが、「広くなったビジネスホテル」が多く、本当に旅行者のニーズに向き合ったホテルはまだまだ少ないのではないでしょうか？ For instance, there are many hotels being built with more double or twin rooms since foreign tourists have started to increase, however many seem to be "larger business hotels", and are not necessarily focused on the needs of foreign tourists. 私たちの新規企画している葛西と秋葉原のホテルでは、ツーリストの「欲しかった」ホテルを提供することを目指し作りました。 We are planning in Kasai and Akihabara, we will make a hotel that is solely focused on the needs of foreign tourists.

変化するニーズを捉え、新しいものを創っていくために、ダイバーシティに富んだメンバーと、自由に意見をぶつけ合い、「お客様のために何が良いか」議論が出来る、風通しの良い風土を大切にしています。 We believe that a diverse team and a corporate culture which allows free discussion based on "what is best for the customer", are necessary to accurately perceive a rapidly changing environment, and make something new.
