The Outdoor Adventure Marketing Manager will create and implement outdoor adventure packages throughout Japan to create consumer demand for inbound and domestic guests at MyStays managed hotels. This exciting and newly created position will provide an extremely creative and well-traveled individual an unmatched opportunity to create and update amazing outdoor activities for guests at many of the 98 MyStays managed hotels throughout Japan from Ishigaki Island up to Asahikawa. Enjoy travelling to fascinating destinations such as Ishigaki Island, Kanazawa or Sapporo, while developing a wide range of unforgettable journeys that will intrigue guests and help to encourage new and repeat visitors.

Why we do

Our mission is to increase the number of Mystays fans and to increase customer satisfaction. Currently, foreigners are coming to Japan on the back of the yen's depreciation and the Japan's Visit Japan campaign. What should I do to have domestic customers, as well as foreigners of different cultures and customs, feel that it is the best stay? We are always thinking about that. The activities generated from your past encounters, experiences, and inspirations will bring new customers to the world!

How we do

MyStays Hotel Management is the 5th largest hotel company in Japan with 96 hotels throughout the country. Many of the hotels are full service and resort hotels in special locations nearby key destinations with beach, skiing, Japanese culture, wildlife, and other tourist attractions. Some of the initial destinations to create outdoor adventure include hotels in Ishigaki Island, Kusatsu, Tateshina, Otaru, and Shodoshima. ★Responsibilities and Duties •Create, develop, and implement a broad range of outdoor activities for hotel guests •The outdoor activities can be at the hotel and/or in the nearby community •Closely interact with the marketing and content management teams as well as onsite hotel management, implement timely rollout of products to coincide with marketing initiatives and coordinate with various third-party vendors •Working with the digital marketing team to promote across various channels, including direct email marketing, social media, and online •Working with the PR team to create press releases around new activities •Monitor performance of new and existing product offerings and provide insight on how to optimize for conversion •Meet regularly with Heads of Department and project teams across the organization to maintain an up to-date knowledge of projects which require marketing input

The ideal candidate should have a thorough knowledge of modern digital marketing techniques, as well as a sense of adventure, strong idea generation and passion for outdoor activities. He or she will be responsible for the creation, development, and implementation of a broad range of outdoor activities for the organization. ★Qualifications★ •Fluent in Japanese and English •Experience: 5+ years in marketing and/or tourism •Highly creative and analytical, strategic thinker •Strong communication skills (effective face to face, oral, and written communication and presentation skills) •Highly passionate about sustainable, experience-rich travel •Commercial awareness / general business acumen, well-organized self-starter (ability to plan, prepare, and organize your time effectively), ability to work effectively as part of multiple teams •Education level: BA / BS required
