Furen International School (FIS) is established as a Preparatory School in 2000. Originally started as a School to prepare students for the Singapore’s GCE O-Level Examinations, we have since expanded to several other courses. All our courses however have a singular purpose – to prepare students for university. There are two qualities that are necessary. Academic success is a MUST and the qualification to gain entry into FIS is a motivated student that possesses perseverance and industriousness. To achieve academic success, we interact closely with our students. And for students who are academically strong, we encourage the student to supplement their current studies with extra coursework. About the Job We urgently seek a part-time qualified English language teacher to fill a teaching vacancy at Furen International School. The primary objective is to help students improve their English language to prepare them to sit for English-based academic examinations, such as IELTS, IGCSE, GCE Ordinary Level, and GCE Advanced Level. Our international students are primarily non-native English speakers banded into varying English proficiency levels. Job Description - Be energetic, motivating, and encouraging to help students improve their English proficiency. - Prepare students to take English-based academic examinations. - Prepare the class lesson plans. - Mark class assignments after teaching hours. - Daily lessons. Classes are held from 8.00 am - 9.30 am (90 minutes) daily during weekdays, except public holidays. Job Requirements - Degree in any discipline with a good grade in the English language. - Demonstrated proficiency in both spoken and written English is a must. - Bilingual in Simplified Chinese and English.
