2011年に起こった東日本大震災をきっかけに、「世界のGINZAからファッションで日本を元気にする」をテーマに掲げてスタートしたGINZA FASHION WEEK。年2回の開催で、今秋で13回目を迎え、今回は松屋銀座、銀座三越、和光、東急プラザが主軸となり様々なイベントを展開。GINZA SIXで行われたオープニングイベントには、モデルの本田翼さんが登場し、メリノウールの魅力を紹介。ファッションショーにはPaul SmithやAKIRA NAKA、MARGARET HOWELLなど、銀座の街を彩る8つのブランドが登場し会場を沸かせました。

Started in 2011 after the Tohoku earthquake, GINZA FASHION WEEK is a fashion event that is held to “cheer up Japan through fashion”. Now it takes place twice a year, and during this thirteenth time, the associated stores were Matsuya Ginza, Mitsukoshi, Wako, and Tokyu Plaza Ginza, all of which held various events. For the opening event held at GINZA SIX, famous fashion model Tsubasa Honda appeared and talked about MERINO WOOL. Also the eight brands representing the GINZA AREA such as Paul Smith, AKIRA NAKA and MARGARET HOWELL, had a special runway showcase.
