Two zombified faces with mulish grins and terribly clean clothes. Our very own Wantedly-version zombies were seen sauntering Artbox Singapore two weeks ago at the Bayfront Event Space right here in Singapore.
Instead of recruiting more zombies per the alleged zombie apocalypse, they were on a mission—a unique mission of quite the polar opposite.
Wantedly was campaigning to the 200,000 Artbox Singapore event-goers to never to lose sight of their passion as they fumble through the proverbial rat race.
The message was simple: Don’t be an office zombie!
The curious onlookers were pleasantly surprised to be offered Wantedly freebies of tinged popcorns and candy flosses in a unique shade of blue, a mark of our brand color.
As an advocator of uncovering possibilities, our second activation campaign since our previous launch party in March in Singapore went with a bang of blues and zombies. The theme song we sang was all about Do What You Love —find your passion and enjoy what you do.

While traipsing the ground of the event, our zombies had great fun spreading the message of What, Why, and How we do. While some found the term “social recruiting” foreign, but little did they know that hiring through social media leverage, in actuality, is not an emerging concept. Nevertheless, we were happy to share more about our platform and our philosophy of making work exciting like never been.
Meanwhile, our booth was buzzing with excitement as streams of event-goers flocked over for the delectable freebies and took spontaneous photos with our Instagram selfie frame prop.
It was extremely rewarding to have obtained a couple hundred sign-ups throughout the three-days event, but what gives us greater joy is that we are now a step closer to our mission of building a world where work meets passion. As a social recruiting platform, that means a lot to us in creating a dynamic social vibes.

While we were busy manning our industrial hipster hut, our company pet, Snorlax, took a tour and soaked in the vibrant atmosphere at the hipster market. He braved the crowds, watched the acoustic live performances and enjoyed people watching all weekend long.
Beyond just a job, thriving at work
Artbox is a renowned creative pop-up market from Bangkok that made its debut in Singapore in April 2017. We were stoked to have the opportunity to be at the first Artbox Singapore to reach out to the community and show them that finding meaningful jobs are possible.
The feel-good vibes of the Singapore largest international creative market attracted people from all walks of life seeking novel, exhilarating new experiences.
They are now the largest generation—the millennials.
Unlike our past generations, millennials look for job fulfilment more than anything else. Gone were the days where just awesome monetary benefits would suffice.

This makes Wantedly a matching counterpart to today’s trending social recruiting concept. We help job seekers to get hired in a social environment; matching both talents and companies based on not just interest but with cultural-fit as well.
Passion is the difference between a job and a career
Let us be honest. Nobody wants to be forced to do something they hate, nor become an office zombie in a dead-end job.
Being stuck, over time, you will see that eventually, nothing works. Your efforts will be deprecated, which will impact your mood, performance and worst of all your personal life too.
Strong interest in what you do is essential to job satisfaction that leads to performance improvement needed to succeed in the world of growing economic pressure driven by global competition.
Passion empowers you to embrace your work, even when the going gets tough. Creativity happens when you are doing what you are genuinely excited about. You can achieve so much more in life with a deeper sense of fulfillment. Consequently, you will thrive in whatever you do.
Singaporeans will brave rain, heat and sweat to find exciting new experiences
The energy around our pop-up booth was high - It is always great connecting with like-minded people who believe in boldness in taking the initiative, expressing creativity and taking pride in job ownership. We are also ecstatic to learn that most Artbox participants were receptive to exploring the option of ‘Wantedly Visit’- A flagship offering of Wantedly.
‘Wantedly Visit’ allows one to make casual office visits to prospective companies of interest where they can learn more about the job opportunities, working environment and team culture before accessing if there is a mutual fit. In this digital age, one indeed cannot be too thorough in making informed decisions. Intrigued by this refreshing concept, most event-goers whom we interacted with signed up on the spot and are open to trying out ‘Wantedly Visit’ and finding their next job via our platform when prompted.
One key factor to our high signup rates during the event was the ease of registration process. Anyone can quickly register a free account with Wantedly in less than a couple minutes. Effortlessly, anyone can become a social recruiter or look for fitting jobs through our social hiring portal.
