Q. How did you hear about Inbound Technology (IBT) ?
A. When I was an student, there was a kind of job fair in Ikebukuro for exchange students looking for a job in Japan so I went there and this was the first time I heard about IBT.
Q. Why have you decided to join us ?
A. I was looking for a job where I can use my language skills and I thought IBT was the perfect place to do so. I was also very attracted by the global environment of the company, everybody is young and friendly, so I really felt a big contrast with old and strict Japanese companies.
Q. You first joined the Real Estate team and suddenly became a Career Advisor in February. What did you think when you first heard about this change?
A. At first I was a bit confused because I just got used to my job in the Real Estate team, but I was actually extremely happy to switch and I felt this was a very important change.
Q. What did you think of CA (=Career Advisor) job before joining ?
A. At first, I tought it was simply a job in which you introduce candidates to companies.
Q. And how was it actually? Was it hard?
A. Oh yes, it was !(laughter) I had to change a lot of things and learn to think in different ways. For example, to give good advice we have to think about different things and imagine different senarios and this is not something I was used to do.
Q. What was the hardest thing to you?
A. While I was hearing good news of other team members, I didn't have actual results at all. I have been working really hard, focused on my job and was really doing my best, but it wasn't enough. I was a bit depressed by then.
Q. What are the things you like the most about your job as a CA ?
A. When we can introduce a candidate to a company that perfectly fits his/her requirements. When everything goes well and the candidate can get an offer, it really gives me a sense of accomplishment and I feel happy I could help.
Q. What did you feel when you heard your candidate could get an offer ?
A. At first, I felt very nervous because nothing is sure until we can get the offer letter. But, when everything became official, I was so happy I couldn't even sleep ! (laughter)
I could gain self-confidence, and started to feel that I am not a bad CA. It was really my best day in IBT.
Q. Do you have any advice for your past self ?
A. Believe in you! Only thinking about your weakness will not help you. If you can get self-confidence everything will become brighter and you will feel really motivated!
Q. Do you have a message for the people who would like to join IBT ?
A. If you join us, believe me, you will be happy. (I really mean it)
Thank you very much for your time Ebi-chan, and again congratulations for your first placement !!
